The ensemble
We draw on courtly and popular music of the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries — songs, dances and instrumental pieces in their original languages, played on replica period instruments so the sound belongs in a castle, a camp or a feast.
Historical dress is sewn from iconography. The instruments are artisan replicas: vielles, gittern, lute, recorders, shawm, frame drums. For an organizer that means one picture: music, costume and instruments as a single miniature.

Five performance formats. We arrive with costumes, instruments and a finished programme.
A medieval-music concert with a presentation of the instruments — how they are built and where they come from — and an introduction to the history and meaning of the repertoire. Medieval dance workshops can also be led during the live performance.
Energetic outdoor music, lively dances and songs that carry across a camp, arena or fair.
Courtly repertoire for historic rooms: castles, manor houses, cloisters and fireside halls.
Audience animation and traditional steps. A standalone workshop, or an addition to the concert. Guests listen — and dance, if you wish.
Music for historical weddings, feasts and themed events. Intimate, or with the full ensemble.
